These little plants stirred something in me while we (me and my little boys at the time) were playing on the beach in the Cape Point Nature Reserve.   Morella cordifolia coming up through the beach sand, echoed the resilience needed in raising two boys.  Like these plants, seemingly coming up through pure white sand, mothers have to find our way through the uncertainties, growing and adapting, rooted in the wild, beautiful reality of parenting.
